By 1971, Sam and his four sons built GreatNeck in to a major force in the hand tool business by purchasing Buck Bros., a Massachusetts chisel company, and Mayes Brothers, a level company from Tennessee. They also added a plastic extrusion plant. Today, almost a century later, a third and fourth generation are carrying Samuel and Sarah’s commitment to quality and value. They have made GreatNeck a leading global supplier to the hardware, home improvement, sporting good, mass retail and automotive markets, and have distribution and manufacturing facilities around the world.
